Leading Women in Technology is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping women advance their careers. Participants in our professional development programs develop the knowledge, skills and connections they need to grow professionally and map their own path to career success.
Our alums are leaders with some of the most influential startups, Fortune 500 companies, and nonprofits.
LWT has a long history of bringing women together to help each other advance in their careers.
We started out in 2004 as Women in Licensing, a committee of the Licensing Executives Society. The group continued to grow and, in 2011, the group’s leadership decided to expand membership and programming to serve the broader technology industry. That’s when Women in Licensing Bay Area became Leading Women in Technology and was certified as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3).
Today, Leading Women in Technology is a top organization for women’s professional development with programs in San Francisco, Palo Alto, New York and Seattle. While founded as a vehicle to advance women with skills that benefit technology-oriented businesses, our current goal is to welcome and advance emerging and current leaders in all business sectors.
