Photo, Video and Audio Recording Policy

This photo, video and audio policy applies to all individuals attending Leading Women in Technology (LWT) programming, meetings and events, whether in person or via remote access technology such as telepresence or Skype (each, an ‘event’), including LWT board members, program participants, volunteers, guests, members of the press, and designated photographers and videographers.

At LWT’s events, recording of various kinds may occur, including without limitation photography, video and audio (each, a ‘recording’). There are often 2-3 official LWT photographers or videographers present at our events.

LWT may choose to publish recordings on media controlled by LWT (such as the LWT websites) as well as media controlled by third parties (such as social media, print press, etc.). LWT reserves the right to use these recordings in promotional materials to promote LWT and its events.

By attending an event, you acknowledge that recordings may be made of the event, including your likeness and voice, and maybe used by LWT as described in this policy. If you do not want to be recorded or HAVE YOUR PICTURE taken, please notify AN LWT BOARD MEMBER OR EVENT ORGANIZER before the event COMMENCES.

Also, much of our content is licensed and may be subject to legal protection, such as copyright. If you wish to take a photo, audio, or video of any person, especially the speaker or presenter of the event, you must ask for permission from anyone you photograph or record prior to doing so. This includes those individuals in the background of your picture or recording. If you are asked by an individual attending an event to delete/blur a picture they did not originally give you permission to take, we require you do so as soon as possible.
